With Youtuber, advertising revenue can be an important source of income. When a channel enables monetization and enables ads for eligible videos, they can become part of the inventory for advertisers to run ads on. To set up monetization, let’s do the following steps:
Step 1: Read and agree to the YouTube Partner Program terms
From your YouTube account, enable monetization for your channel, then follow the on-screen instructions to accept YouTube Partner Program terms.
Note: A Youtube channel must have a minimum of 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 viewing hours in the last 12 months to be eligible to participate in the YouTube Partner Program. After your channel reaches 4,000 viewing hours and 1,000 subscribers, we will review your application to ensure it works on YouTube Partner Program policies, Terms of Service and Community Guidelines of Youtube.
Step 2: Sign up for an AdSense account to receive payment for your monetized videos.
You can create a new AdSense account or connect an existing account to your channel.
Step 3: Set your options to enable monetization and review the criteria for what types of videos can make money and different ad formats.
Then, seting the type of ad you want to run on the video and automatically enable monetization for all your current and future videos.
You should note that monetization only works in some countries and violation of copyright or community guidelines may prevent you from being eligible to make money.
