What makes macOS so smooth as compared to Windows?

    You see this:

    I took this “Screenshot” today on my Mac. As you can see, Apple is applying the principle of redundancy that’s why it has two cursors. If one of them fails the other cursor is ready to takeover making sure your computer is not left without a working cursor. This ensures that the user’s experience remains smooth and uninterrupted in the case of a cursor failure.

    At least that’s how Apple explains when they mess up and somehow the users accept the narrative (see butterfly keyboard for instance) because the “feeling” they company stirs in them. You see, feelings prevent us from thinking rationally and Apple is so well positioned in the market that it’s customers will always perceive it as more reliable. No other computer brand has such a customer base.
